- Crocodiles can live for a long time without food.
- Some crocodiles can weigh over 1,200 kgs.
- The average age of a crocodile is 50-60 years, but some live up to 100 years.

Crocodiles and alligators belong to the same family and are very similar, but there are some differences:
- Alligators are less aggressive than crocodiles.
- Alligators have shorter, wider heads.
- Almost all alligators live in fresh water, while some species of crocodiles live in salt water.
- Alligators are found in the wild only in the USA and China, while crocodiles can be found all over the world.
