Οι λέξεις so και such είναι συνώνυμες, σημαίνουν "τόσο", αλλά χρησιμοποιούνται διαφορετικά.

Στην περίπτωση αυτή, το δεύτερο μέρος της πρότασης εισάγεται με τη λέξη "that…"

Η λέξη too έχει αρνητική σημασία και σημαίνει πάρα πολύ, υπερβολικά.
Χρησιμοποιείται μπροστά από επίθετα ή επιρρήματα.
He hasn't got many friends because he is too shy.
He almost had an accident because he was driving too quickly.
Η λέξη too όταν χρησιμοποιείται στο τέλος της πρότασης σημαίνει επίσης.
I like apples, too.
Η λέξη enough έχει θετική σημασία και σημαίνει αρκετά. Χρησιμοποιείται:
♦ μετά από επίθετα ή επιρρήματα – He can't vote. He isn't old enough.
♦ πριν από ουσιαστικά – I have enough money. I will buy this new mobile phone.

Όταν μετατρέπουμε μια πρόταση με το too σε enough, προσέχουμε να χρησιμοποιούμε ρήμα σε άρνηση και το αντίθετο νοηματικά επίθετο, ώστε το νόημα να παραμένει τελικά ίδιο.
He is too short to play basketball.
He isn't tall enough to play basketball.
