Adjectives
Adjectives are used before nouns (It's a big table.)
Adjectives are also used after the verbs: be, look, feel, sound, smell, taste, appear (The soup tastes delicious.)
Adverbs of manner (Τροπικά επιρρήματα)
Adverbs are used before or after verbs (She sings beautifully.)
Adverbs are also used before adjectives (He is wearing a really funny hat.)
Σχηματίζονται με την κατάληξη -ly στο τέλος του επιθέτου (happily, quickly, beautifully)
Some are the same as their adjectives (fast, early)
The adverb of "good" is "well"
Some have two forms with a different meaning:

lately = πρόσφατα, τον τελευταίο καιρό I've been jogging a lot lately. |

near = κοντινός-ή-ό My office is near. |
near = κοντά He lives near here. |
nearly = σχεδόν It's nearly five o' clock. |

high = ψηλός-ή-ό The mountain is high. |
high = ψηλά Can you jump high? |
higly = πολύ, σε μεγάλο βαθμό Alice is a highly successful singer. |
Comparative forms of adjectives & adverbs

► Όταν συγκρίνουμε δύο πρόσωπα ή πράγματα και θέλουμε να δείξουμε πως είναι ίδια, χρησιμοποιούμε τη φράση "as + θετικό βαθμό + as"
(Mike is as clever as John.)
► Για να δείξουμε ότι δεν είναι ίδια, χρησιμοποιούμε τη φράση
"not as + θετικό βαθμό + as"
(Mike is not as clever as John.)
► Προσέξτε τη μετατροπή:
My bike is faster than yours. = Your bike isn't as fast as mine.
John is more careful than Mary. = Mary isn't as careful as John.
Note
► Χρησιμοποιούμε τη λέξη very μπροστά από επίθετα θετικού βαθμού
(My house is very big.)
► Χρησιμοποιούμε τις λέξεις much, a lot, a little μπροστά από επίθετα συγκριτικού βαθμού
(My house is much bigger than yours. My house is a lot bigger than yours. My house is a little bigger than yours.)
Adjectives ending in -ed & -ing
Adjectives ending in -ed show how the person speaking feels
(I am interested in science fiction books. I am tired today.)
Adjectives ending in -ing show how a person or a thing seems to us, what is our opinion about a person or a thing
(John is an interesting man. This is an interesting book. Football practice is tiring.)
Like – As – Such as
